Masks on public transport

From Greater Wellington Regional Council

Face coverings become mandatory on buses, trains and ferries as of 31 August. Masks help keep passengers and essential workers safe. It’s important that we all wear one.

Come Monday, we want every Wellingtonian to be #OnBoardWithMasks.

You can help! Next time you’re catching public transport, post a photo of yourself wearing your mask with the hashtag #OnBoardWithMasks.

We all have a part to play in our fight against COVID-19. Simple actions like wearing a mask, using hand sanitiser, and keeping track of where you’ve been help keep our region safe, so I want to express my heartfelt appreciation for your diligence. Thank you.

Ngā mihi

Daran Ponter
Chair, Greater Wellington Regional Council
