The Wellington Central Grey Power Committee is actively considering issues affecting Seniors in the area. We have set up working groups to continue discussion on issues of concern to Seniors.
Any Grey Power member who would like to join a working group is welcome. Please contact our
Committee member as indicated below.

The working group will strengthen Grey Power’s relationship with the Wellington City Council,
Greater Wellington Regional Council, NZTA and appropriate agencies with the outcome that Grey Power Wellington is invited to attend and contribute to liaison community group meetings covering transport issues

- Cost of GP visits
- Dental costs and subsidised dental care for Seniors
- Homecare
- Waiting lists for lower level health issues
The working group will strengthen Grey Power’s relationship with Capital and Coast District
Health Board and other appropriate agencies/organisations with the outcome that Grey Power
Wellington is invited to attend and contribute to liaison community group meetings covering
health issues.

The working group will strengthen Grey Power’s relationship with Wellington City Council
housing and other appropriate agencies with the outcome that Grey Power Wellington is
invited to attend and contribute to liaison community group meetings covering housing and
other issues for elderly.

Grey Power Wellington are following discussion on National Superannuation and want to
move the debate from not having sufficient money to pay for future superannuation
payments to how Superannuation can be paid for.
